Gabrielle was born near Vienna, Austria, which is where, after high school, she started her formal art training. She specified mostly in oil and other mediums. After moving to Vancouver in 1989, she became involved in various art groups with well established Canadian artists; one of whom was Robert Genn. She has also taught art classes publicly and privately. Additionally, collectors from all over Canada and Europe have found her art. Her work has likewise been exhibited in over 40 group and solo exhibitions and has been accepted into numerous juried shows. She is an active member of the FCA, Arts West Society, Federation Chapter Fraser Valley Artists, the Langley Arts Council and Semiahmoo Arts.
Gabrielle is Mrs. Picasso. Mrs. Picasso is an award-winning face painter, body artist, artist and entertainer. She has been decorating the inner child for the young and young at heart aged 2-92 for over a decade. Mrs. Picasso has always had a passion for art and painting as long as she can think back. The most rewarding moment however is the smile on the person’s face after the design is completed. Mrs. Picasso is a professionally trained theatrical and special effects make -up artist, and an active member of the BCEC, the Skookum chuckles Clown Alley and Clowns of America and takes her craft seriously, but the focus is always on fun.
Mrs. Picasso offers face and body painting, balloon creations, temporary glitter tattoos, even have your hair or nails colored and be glittered. Face and body painting designs range from full face, fantasy, favorite cartoon characters, monster, science fiction and carnival themes, tribal or circus themes to simple highlights or caricatures. Mrs. Picasso helps with suggestions for themed birthday events. (Fairy, mermaids princess, crafts parties, etc.). She also offers funky hair wraps for the teen crowd. For the shy and little ones Mrs. Picasso brings temporary tattoos along. Sometimes Mrs. Picasso brings her friend Little Ms. Raindrops along, who helps with balloons and tattoos.
