Langley City’s 25th Annual Community Day Celebration

2019 – Events – Community Day – Booth Application Form (1)

You are invited to participate in Langley City’s 25th Annual Community Day
Celebration in Douglas Park.

The date of this year’s event is Saturday, June 15th.

In celebration of our 25th Anniversary, this year’s Community Day will have
a few new things to add to excitement of the day!

We will be hosting the Fraser Valley Food Truck Festival and food trucks
will be parked along Douglas Crescent and Park Avenue along with
entertainment and stage performances. Additionally, a beer garden will be
held in McBurney Lane as another option for the community to enjoy. The
event will end with a late afternoon performance of Nearly Neil – a Bobby
Bruce tribute to Neil Diamond on the main stage in Douglas Park.

Event Details:

Community Day Booths 11:00am to 3:00pm
Food Truck Festival 11:00am to 7:00pm
McBurney Lane Beer Garden 11:00am to 7:00pm
Neil Diamond Tribute Concert 5:00pm to 7:00pm

Community Day is a fun, free event focused on families and celebrating our
community. There will be entertainment all day long including music, song
and dance from local talent; interactive display booths; a paid concession
benefitting the Douglas Park Community School Society and the ever popular
firefighters challenge for the kids!

Langley City Mayor and Council will also be on hand to plant some gorgeous
garden planters to be drawn as prizes, and back by popular demand is the
hockey ‘rink’ in the parking lot where the public is encouraged to come and
play with some of our local hockey talent.

The Community Day committee would like to invite your organization to take
part in this annual event as we consider you to be an integral part of our
community. This is an ideal time to showcase your organization and show
residents what you have to offer.

We have attached an application form that we invite you to complete, and
return it to us so that we can determine who will be attending. We do
suggest that you make your booth appealing and interactive by offering an
activity and/or small prizes to give away to the public.

Tables and chairs will be provided. We have a limited number of tents and
will not be able to supply others with a tent, we do encourage you to bring
your own to be sure you are covered.

The deadline for registration is Friday, May 24th.

Completed registration forms can be emailed to : recreation@langleycity.ca

We look forward to hearing from you! If you have any questions, please do
