Group Statement / Bio
Langley Community Music School is a non-profit charitable organization founded in 1969. With the support of the community, LCMS has become one of the largest non-profit music schools in the province. The school has earned national and international acclaim for its comprehensive and innovative programs for students of all ages, from babies to seniors. LCMS is recognized for its support of Canadian composers and their music, and LCMS-commissioned works are presented annually in concert.
As the home of Rose Gellert Hall, the school is also host to the Rose Gellert Hall and Concerts Café Classico concert series, as well as several music festivals held throughout the year. These concerts bring exceptional Canadian and international artists and well-known local musicians to the school, and also feature many of the school’s faculty.
