Youth Film Workshops Lead into Langley City Film Festival Weekend

City of Langley, BC – The City of Langley, Langley Arts Council, Langley Community Music School, and the Arts, Recreation, Culture and Heritage Committee are proud to present the 2025 Langley City Film Festival (LCFF), returning on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Langley Community Music School (4899 207 Street, Langley).
This year’s festival will showcase 14 shortlisted films alongside 4 titles from the National Film Board of Canada, celebrating creative storytelling under this year’s themes of Natural Environment and Emotion of Sound.
This year’s lineup includes the films;

In addition to this year’s festival, youth filmmakers can participate in free or by-donation workshops with filmmaker Nisha Platzer:

Workshops run on October 14, 15 and 17, and offer youth a chance to explore hands-on filmmaking techniques while working with a professional artist. Spaces are limited, and registration is required.
‘We’re thrilled to be working alongside Expressive Youth Projects to bring these classes and workshops to fruition.’ noted Claire Sarfeld, Executive Director of the Langley Arts Council. EYP is an artist-led project working to create free and accessible arts activities for youth aged 12-24 in Langley, BC.
