We’re excited to invite you to join the Continued Learning and Community Art Program, created especially for individuals aged 55 and up who are curious, creative, and eager to keep learning. Below, you’ll find details about the inspiring classes we’re offering.

Classes and Workshops: Withdrawal and Cancellation Policy
Cancellation
Langley Arts Council may cancel a class, lesson, or workshop (single or series) for the following reasons:
- Low or declining enrolment (below minimum enrolment).
- Teacher illness or scheduling conflict.
- Facility closures due to unforeseen events (e.g. fire, flood, power outage, pandemic, severe weather, or other circumstances beyond our control).

Advance Notice of Cancellations (Paid Programs)
By Langley Arts Council (LAC):
- Programs that do not meet minimum enrolment will be cancelled one and a half (1.5) weeks before the start date.
- Students will receive a full refund in these cases.
- For programs requiring students to purchase supplies, confirmation emails will be sent prior to the program start date to help avoid unnecessary expenses in case of cancellations or program changes.
Student Cancellation:
- Cancellations must be requested no later than one and a half (1.5) weeks before the program start date.
- Requests submitted after this deadline will not be accepted, and no refunds will be issued.
Refund Eligibility
- Full Refund – Available if a cancellation request is received on or before the one-and-a-half-week deadline
- No Refund – Cancellations made after the deadline are not eligible for a refund.
Student Illness
- We understand that illness can happen. However, as a non-profit organization, we are unable to provide refunds or make-up sessions for missed in-person classes due to student illness. Program fees go directly toward instructor pay, supplies, and operating costs, which allows us to keep classes affordable for all.

By-Donation Programs: Withdrawals and Cancellations
- Student Withdrawal: Participants may withdraw at any time. Refunds do not apply to by-donation programs.
- Cancellations by LAC: Langley Arts Council may cancel a by-donation class or workshop due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. illness, weather, or facility issues). Participants will be notified as soon as possible.
