Join us for studio exploration in painting with local artist Julie Epp. Students are invited to complete specific projects with guidance from the instructor and each session will include instruction on one medium and techniques for that medium, including basic drawing techniques, painting and colour mixing, and the principles of art like composition and balance. 

 

For returning students: This art class provides a continuous learning experience that benefits returning students by offering a distinctive opportunity to enhance their skills, regardless of their current level. By enrolling in this class, you will be able to expand upon the skills you acquired in the previous semester and elevate your abilities to new heights.

Kindly take note that this class caters to all skill levels, and while the first day may seem slow for those with advanced skills, the instructor will provide personalized guidance to each student based on their unique interests as the class progresses.

Julie Epp is a contemporary oil painter and sculptor living and working in Surrey BC, Canada. Julie is an award-winning artist and holds a BFA from the University of the Fraser Valley, and currently works as an artist and arts educator throughout the lower mainland and tri-cities area. Julie specializes in teaching art to children and adults, emphasizing the importance of exploration, experimentation, and passion for creating in her lessons. Her work focuses on the surreal, expressing through colour her experience as a woman and as an artist. She works mainly as a painter, but has been expanding into ceramics and sculpture recently.
