The 56 Artists to Celebrate 56 Years presented by the Langley Arts Council's Board of Directors, Staff, Artists, and dedicated volunteers, is intended to be a major fundraiser for the Langley Arts Council. The Arts Council is a charitable organization that has been serving the residents of the City and Township of Langley since 1968. Annually, our exhibition program supports over 500 emerging and established artists within the region and provides over 30 shows per year.

Discover the work of accomplished BC-based painters and sculptors who were selected for this show through a competitive juried process. Join them as they share their stories about our community and their relationship to the Arts Council.

The Main Hall Gallery is the Arts Council's largest space and will be the venue for this year's exhibition. This is your opportunity to invest in a beautiful piece of original Canadian art that will provide a lifetime of enjoyment, support the arts council, and support growth in the local and regional arts and cultural scene. All funds raised from this event will go toward supporting upgrades to our gallery spaces, and receptions for exhibiting artists.

Musical Performances

Darryl Klassen

Darryl has roots in Saskatchewan and a journey that has taken him through Europe, the States and across Canada. Forty years ago he bumped up against the Pacific Ocean and now laid out some permanent roots here in the Valley. His music is a ragtag collection of songs about boats, trains, coffee, (and some women too), old cowboys, and some foot-stomping guitar and banjo instrumentals. Some songs are originals, others are covers. He'll get that banjo ringing, fingerpick a tune or two by John Prine, J J Cale or Doc Watson, and then flat-pick some bluegrass tunes on that old six-string guitar. And he loves to sing! He calls his music "Highbrow Hillbilly".

Gabriel Regehr

Gabriel Regehr is a Filipino-Canadian Saxophonist and Pianist from Coquitlam, British Columbia. Upon picking up the saxophone at the age of 14, he went on to discover his own unique sound inspired by legendary singers and musicians such as Eric Marienthal, Kenny G and Whitney Houston. He has made a name for himself throughout the lower mainland by becoming the winner of Youth Talent Search BC Close Look's Got Talent and runner-up of Tri-Cities Got Talent. Gabriel has appeared on Paul Anthony's Talent Time three times, with two of those being New Year's Eve specials. He has also been featured twice in the Vancouver Singing Christmas Tree and the Miss Philippines International of BC Beauty Pageant. He has collaborated and worked with local artists Quinn Pickering, Bukola Balogun, Gio Levy and Raymond Salgado.

Crowley Hamill

Crowley Hamill is a 15-year-old folk/indie singer-songwriter from Langley, BC. He writes songs with personal lyrics, and plays unique and interesting covers. Crow plays guitar, piano, trumpet and violin, and sings over 14 hours a week at school. He’s been singing and writing songs since the age of 8 and has a passion for storytelling. He’s taken songwriting courses with Zaac Pick and Graham Gomez, opened for Chris LeBlanc, and sang with Measha Brueggergosman-Lee and Elise LeBlanc.

Crowley often goes to open mics and has performed for various musical events such as ‘Perform for Pride Vancouver’, ‘Miles of Smiles Online Edition’, the Fort Langley ‘May Day’ celebration, and multiple Canada Day events. Crow writes stories every day and he looks forward to being a professional writer and musician.
