This membership option provides an individual membership. It is best suited for artists, artisans, markers, vendors, and creators at any stage of their career. By becoming a member, artists can celebrate and promote their work, sell their products, and gain access to events and resources that can enhance their skills and awareness of the industry. Additionally, there is opportunities to network with fellow art practitioners, collaborate on projects, and receive support and guidance from experienced mentors. With the Langley Arts Council membership, artists can elevate their careers and achieve their artistic aspirations. Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.
A Langley Arts Council Family Membership option, includes a group of up to six individuals (2 parents and up to 4 kids) living at the same address. Those included in this membership can take advantage of all the benefits included in the individual membership, but at a discounted price. This means that the entire family can enjoy free or discounted art show submissions, discounts on LAC classes and workshops, opportunities for exhibitions, chances to win tickets to events/exhibitions, and many other benefits. Additionally, the family will share one vote among the five members, giving them the opportunity to have a say in important decisions made by the Langley Arts Council. As a family, they can connect with their community and support Arts and Culture together through the various events and opportunities provided by LAC. Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.
The Langley Arts Council Group Membership is ideal for artist groups, and collectives. Including; non-profit organizations, societies, co-operatives, music organizations, performance ensembles, clubs, guilds, and museums. Organizations that hold a group membership can apply for a group exhibition, and are invited to partner with the LAC for the promotion of their group at community events. Groups that hold this membership will also be featured in the LAC newsletter once a year. This group membership is an excellent opportunity for arts organizations to connect with like-minded individuals, share their group with the LAC community, and attend events as a LAC partner. Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.
The Langley Arts Council is pleased to offer a Business Membership that is tailored to suit commercial, for-profit entities in the arts and cultural sector and beyond. As a Business Member, you can enjoy all the benefits included in the Group Membership while also obtaining an individual membership for up to three employees, giving you access to the full range of benefits from both memberships. In addition, Business Members are contracted first when sponsorships, partnerships, promotional, and naming opportunities arise. This is an excellent way for businesses to meet and showcase their brand while also supporting the arts in their community. Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.
We are excited to introduce a new membership option to the Langley Arts Council - the Lifetime Membership, which is offered exclusively in October of each year, and has limited availability. The Lifetime Membership is available to 18+ individuals only. You will receive all the benefits included with the Individual Membership, additionally, Lifetime Members are welcome to have a permanent page on the LAC website, to view an example of this page click HERE. Lifetime members can update this page once a year during the October renewal month. In 2022, the LAC had over 160,000 hits on our website. Get your art business seen through this option.
In 2023 we are doing a soft launch of our NEW Lifetime Membership and accepting members until June 30th, 2023. Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.
This options keeps you in the loop on current arts opportunities, receive a monthly arts newsletter containing information on upcoming exhibitions and events. You’ll received important deadlines for artists calls and upcoming classes/workshops.

A: No, you do not need to be an artist to join. We welcome anyone who is interested in supporting the arts and culture in our community.
Q: Can I volunteer with the Langley Arts Council?

Q: Why don't members receive discounts on classes/workshops, but they do on exhibitions and Markets?
A: We believe in paying our instructors a fair wage and covering our administration fees, which allows us to provide high-quality classes and workshops to our members. While we don't offer discounts on classes to our members, we do provide other valuable benefits, such as free or discounted submission fees for exhibitions, guaranteed opportunities to showcase artwork at our galleries, and a personal page on our website for lifetime members. We also offer discounted rates for market vendor registration fees, which can help members promote and sell their artisan goods.
