If you can provide your own 8' x 2.5' foot table (or smaller), the LAC will reduce your Booth price by $10. Use the discount code 'markettable10' at checkout to reduce your payment by $10 and use your table. Please note, that this code does not apply to our Young Entrepreneurs tables.

Apply to our third annual curated and juried Holiday Artisan Market at the Timms Community Center hosted by the Langley Arts Council in the City of Langley. The Holiday Artisan Market will be free for the public to attend and will showcase artists and artisans who reside throughout the province of BC. There will be live shopping, live music, food, and entertainment, and coincide with the City of Langley's Magic of Christmas Event.

Vendors will be notified by September 18th, 2024

  • Saturday, December 7th from 10:00 - 5:00 pm
  • Sunday, December 8th from 10:00 - 4:00 pm

Acceptance Criteria
- Artists do not need to reside in the City of Langley or Township of Langley to apply to this event. This is open to artists who reside throughout the BC region.

- All products must be at least 75% handmade, handcrafted art and craft by the artisan.

- Visual artists or artisans (fiber artists, mixed media, potters, sculptures, drawing, and painting) are welcome to apply.

- Your product will be juried for quality, originality, craftsmanship, and durability.

- All accepted vendors must donate a sample of their product (valued at a minimum of $20) to be used in our gift baskets. Please be prepared to donate this item on December 1st, at the Timms Community Centre.


Booth Requirements 

- Artists can purchase one space.

- All tables must be covered and skirted to the floor

- Artist areas will be self-run.

- UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL VENDORS BE ALLOWED TO MOVE THEIR BOOTH SPACE, which is assigned at arrival.

- No personal heaters are allowed dress in layers to avoid getting cold.

- No pets allowed.

- No canopies, no exceptions.

- If you would like to have a free-standing grid wall in your booth. Please select the outside wall or corner booth option. Please note, that these grid walls cannot be attached to the gym walls in any way.

- Tabletop displays must not be over 4 ft. tall.


Selling Food Items 

- Vendors are required to have their permit from your local Health Department on hand, should you be selling food items.

- Vendors selling food products may give out FREE samples only. Charging for samples will not be permitted.


Vendor Security Tags 

Vendor security tags (2 lanyards) will be provided upon arrival. They must be worn at all times during setup and for the duration of the market. Lanyards will be picked up before take-down.


Artist Associations

- Artist groups who are members of the LAC and wish to attend to share information about their group can attend for free.

- Artist groups who wish to sell merchandise or membership, must pay for a space. Please note their is a limited number of free spaces available. 


Acceptance

Space is limited for the Holiday Artisan Market, not all applications will be accepted to participate.


Market Sales 

- The LAC will not be collecting a commission on any artwork sales.

- The LAC and or its volunteers cannot perform a sales transaction on behalf of a vendor.


Power

There are minimal outlets available for this event. If you need an outlet please check the box for 'outside wall - outlet needed' in the application below. Please note, that we may not be able to fulfill every request for a power source.


Parking

- One pass will be issued per vendor.

- Vendor parking and security tags will be provided upon arrival. 

- They must be worn at all times during setup and for the duration of the market.


Insurance

The LAC insurance will not cover artists for the Holiday Artisan Market, artists must supply their own insurance.


Not Accepted and Refunds 

If you are not accepted to the Holiday Artisan Market, you will receive a refund once the adjudication process has taken place. A $10 adjudication fee will be taken at the time of the refund.


Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be received before October 30th, 2024. Cancellations after October 30th, 2024, will not receive a refund.
