56 Artists to Celebrate 56 Years Opening Reception


The Langley Arts Council's 56 Artists to Celebrate 56 Years opening reception was held on Saturday, November 23rd from 4:00 - 6:30 PM in the Main Hall Gallery. This reception was hosted in the Aldergrove Kinsmen Community Center, home of the Langley Arts Council. Our reception had musical performances by Darryl Klassen, Gabriel Regehr, and Crowley Hamill. Our BC-Wide Prize Winning Exhibition artSpacific and Annual General Meeting

The Langley Arts Council's Annual artSpacific Prize Winning Exhibition's opening reception was held on Saturday, October 19th from 10:00 - 12:00 in the Main Hall Gallery. This reception was hosted in the Aldergrove Kinsmen Community Center, home of the Langley Arts Council. This exhibition included 74 artworks by local and regional artists. Adjudicators Cara Guri and Manjot Kaur joined the Arts Council early in the morning to view the artworks in person and discuss this year's winners. Our reception had musical performances by Bryan Phenix and Paul Taylor, and we say a heartfelt thank you to our sponsors AVS Janitorial Services and Kroma Acrylic Paints for their partnership and sponsorship.

Our Annual General Meeting was held from 12:00 - 1:00. In this year's AGM, we shared the LAC's accomplishments from our 2023 - 2024 Annual Report and what's up and coming with the organization. David Williams, Freda Lombard, Ana Bayona, and Diane Gendron stood for re-election, and Yasir Ali was presented by the nomination committee, voted in, and welcomed to the Board of Directors. We also thanked Lana Hart for her time on the Board of Directors and her dedication to our organization. 


We thank everyone who was able to attend, present, and join us in this joyous reception.

2024 Annual Youth Exhibition, Opening Reception


The Langley Arts Council's Annual Youth Exhibition was held on Saturday, April 13th from 12:00 - 2:00 in the Main Hall Gallery. This reception was hosted in the Aldergrove Kinsmen Community Center, home of the Langley Arts Council. This exhibition included 193 artworks by youth aged 7 - 30 created by local youth students at Walnut Grove Secondary School, and Aldergrove Community Secondary School. 2024 Annual Celebration of Culture 


The Langley Arts Council's Celebration of Culture took place over 4 weekends in March 2024. Each of these events took place at the Langley Arts Council's home inside the Aldergrove Kinsmen Community Center. This celebratory event was a free for all ages to attend and included workshops, performances, talks, classes, and more.
