In this workshop, students will receive a foundational introduction to hand sewing, gaining essential skills and understanding. They will explore the intricacies of threading various needles with different threads, a fundamental aspect of hand sewing. Moreover, they will discover how thread, when combined with color and simple stitches, can transform into a work of art.
Students will have the opportunity to craft a bookmark and a Christmas ornament during this workshop, both of which they can take home. They are free to choose which project to start with.

Wear clothes to do art in, closed toe shoes, and be ready to create. Please pack snacks and water, this is a 3 hour workshop.

Meet your instructor: Dana Scott
Dana has been sewing for about 45 years now. Her favourite is still hand embroidery and cross-stitch, but she loves her sewing machines too. Simple home décor, bags such as totes and pouches, basic clothing, and much more are Dana's specialties. She is very passionate about creativity and wants to share this passion in a simple and surprisingly fun way. Happy Stitching!
